Hypnotherapy provides a deep state of relaxation while doing psychotherapy which gives you the ability to dip into the unconscious where trauma is stuck and bring the unconscious material back into the waking state of consciousness to transform it positively.

Hypnotherapy

 EMDR facilitates  accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences to bring these to acceptable resolution. After successful treatment with EMDR therapy, distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological arousal is reduced.

IIn order to heal trauma, our work is experiential, which means we use multiple expressive tools and activities, such as role-playing or acting, props, arts and crafts, music, guided imagery, to give us access to material that is unconscious and stuck in order to give you freedom to then make changes you want.

(CBT) Cognifive Behavioral Therapy

CBT assists in developing personal coping strategies that target solving problems and changing unhelpful patterns in thoughts, behaviors and emotions.

(DBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy

DBT, a mindfulness-based therapy, offers skills that allow you to regulate your emotions and thoughts by helping you learn about triggers and transform them.  Positive coping skills are taught to change thoughts, feelings and behaviors that create the unwanted reactions.

Sexual therapy tends to be targeted, and focused on results.  Our first session or two is aimed at thoroughly assessing the problem.  We will develop a plan together, which often includes homework for you to complete between sessions, and we assess our progress throughout the therapeutic process.
